The Celebration Road Show: Amazing Grace

Let this be a lesson to you, Molly, don’t… drink… the hooch!

How sweet the sound…

This album cover is a before… and after view.

They’re still on the road, dude.

I think he’s IN the road!

Phil Sevetson Says:

This is the album by the no-longer-traveling American group, right? From the ’80s? Gary something, lead trumpet?

Ben Says:

They don’t have their music on iTunes – still trying to find it. Lead trumpet??? Whoa.

Donna Springer Says:

Jim Beebe on trombone, Charlie Hooks on reeds, Laurie Seaman, vocals, Nick Opperman on banjo. Can’t remember piano, drums or bass. Gary played trumpet and was the leader. I can’t remember his last name, but he was a minister. When he sang “The Five Little Pennies,” it would make you cry.

Donna Springer Says:

The leader was Gary Miller (I just remembered)!

franco Says:

A good cover art for the Amazing Grace version recorded by Christopher Byers, father of one of the three West Memphis victims.

Dorcas Moseley Says:

I still have my vinyls from Celebration Road Show (including the one pictured here). They had an awesome group. Gary and Beth Miller were members of my church while he was a Florida Conference Minister, and I had the privilege of playing the organ and Gary playing trumpet during Sunday service a few times. Wonderful people.

Lark Hapke Says:

Gary was ahead of me in seminary; he was awesome trumpeter. Wish I could find their music somewhere……….probably had it a very long time ago ;)

here Says:

Great post but I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this topic?
I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit more.
Thank you!
