Thirteen volumes? That’s one hell of a Pakistani hippie jam!

One can only imagine what tasty treats volumes 1-12 might contain.

These guys tore it up on the amateur wrestling circuit a few years back.

Now THAT guy knows how to party! I mean, he killed a leopard and is wearing it as a hat!

I think this cover shot was taken when they opened for Yanni at the Acropolis.

princess diana and prince charles are uptil today crazy about their music.

It’s not about mocking people’s cultures and traditions. It’s about mocking their tree bark hats, flowing man-locks of hair, and lapels bigger than a Las Vegas double-wide trailer.

While I agree that their appearance was/is entirely regrettable, their music can hardly be characterized that way. So if this were a blog about regrettable fashion sense/styles, I would support their inclusion. As it is, it makes less sense for them to be here.

I have to say that when this number of folks have defended the musical genius of a particular artist featured on this site, those protesters have for the most part turned out to be pretty right. That being said, this album art doesn’t lead you to think ‘must be musical genius in this here album’. Could be a marketing problem when crossing over to new audiences?

Their music is from the Sufi sect of Islam. Which concentrates solely on spiritualism through music. They are considered heretics by the main stream muslims. That’s why they rock!!! Dude, these brothers, in their music take you to another place…..through poetry. It involves deep thinking and not just show but substance. They are the real maccoy. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover!

And just one more thing to clarify….it says on the cover album “Sabri Brothers Qawwal & Party….”

That is just a reference to their “crew”, that seems funny to you, as they refered to it as “party”.

So, from the chat I read, their music is supposed to be v good. We can conclude the Brothers have good ears. Why, then, in the name of the good things they stand for did they sign off on a cover worthy of this site? Go Regrettable!
