Plasmatics – New Hope For The Wretched

plasmatics

If this is the new hope, I’d hate to see the old one.

I bet they’re in the shallow end.

Sink, don’t swim.

Well, now we know why the pool filter keeps getting clogged with chunks of mascara and shreds of tutu.

Tics in the plasma? Isn’t anything safe anymore?

EnnuiEffect Says:

Actually the Plasmatics were a pretty revolutionary band. They were one of the first true American punk bands and one the predecessors of modern Hardcore. They were also one of the most controversial bands of that era. Sure, that album cover is kinda dumb, but the songs inside are solid punk gold. There’s no denying how much the Plasmatics influenced modern hardcore punk bands.

I dunno, this looks more like a real album cover than the rest that appear on this site. It’s got a theme, they put some effort into it, it almost tells a story. Most of the covers you see here are just lame Instamatic (if you know what an Instamatic is, you’re old) photos pasted onto a cardboard sleeve.

Dave Bailey Says:

Wendy O. Williams kicked ass!
