Boogie With Canned Heat

boogie-with-canned-heat?

Is this a Geico ad? They have two or three cavemen in there!

Watch out! They’re about to open up a big can of boogie on yo’ ass.

From left to right: Sulu, Joe Namath, the Geico caveman, Billy Joe from Green Day and Ray Lamontagne all got together for a boogie and dropped acid.

One hell of a night!

Joe Namath still can’t find his pants!

Rebecca Davis Winters Says:

Very humorous take on this album cover. You might be interested to know that the band lineup does not correctly reflect the personnel appearing on the album. “Joe Namath” is drummer Frank Cook, who appeared on CH’s self-titled debut. On Boogie With Canned Heat, you’ll actually hear drummer Fito de la Parra, who is not pictured here. He joined the band after the album cover had already been made, and budget did not allow for a new painting.

Thanks for the background scoop, Rebecca. It certainly is a cool painting!

Karyn Says:

Canned Heat is the name of the song Napoleon Dynamite danced to. It looks like this album cover was made from tropical fish.
